Day 27

Forty Days of Preparation Daily Devotions

Day Twenty-Seven

 Full of Joy

John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Neh 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

A joyful Christian is a strong fruitful Christian. The Lord wants your joy full. Joy is not based on the external things around you but rather upon what's in you. The word within causes the Lord's joy to remain in you. Therefore, to be full of the Word, is to be full of joy. To be void of the Word is to be void of joy. Keep your joy full! Here are some ways to keep your joy full:

A. Receive the Word of God.

1 John 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

B. Pray.

John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

C. Be Filled With the Spirit.

Rom 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

D. Rejoice.

1 Thess 5:16 Rejoice evermore.

Shout for joy!

Prov 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

E. Rejoice That Your Name is Written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Isa 12: 3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Sample PrayerPs 118:24 "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. In Jesus Name, Amen.
