Day 15

Forty Days of Preparation Daily Devotions

Day Fifteen
Personal Plan of Evangelism
 Matt 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Prov 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
Christians know to evangelize. However, the "how to is sometimes challenging to some. Ask the Lord to give you a personal plan of evangelism. That is an effective plan to bring people to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We must have a heart for souls. Having a personal plan of evangelism will give you the confidence to be a bold witness for Christ. Here is an example of a personal plan of evangelism. Modify it to fit you and your personality.

A. Introduction
"Each day we see reminders of the hurts and pains of this world we live in.
Knowing that there is an answer gives me the strength to make it every day. I have found my strength in the Lord. It says in John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. We also have the hope of a better life to come.

B. Message
1. Jesus came to save lost people.
Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

2. Jesus died so that we might live.
1 Thess 5:9,10 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
1 Peter 2:24,25 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

3. Through Christ we have forgiveness of sins.
Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

4. We are saved by grace and not by works.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

5. Whosoever shall call upon the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:9-13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

C. Conclusion
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

D. The Invitation-Salvation
1. Drawing the Net
Heb 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
Jesus did the hard part by dying for our sins. Your part is to believe and to ask

2. The Challenge
2 Cor 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Heb 3:15 While it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Today is your day.   Ask Jesus to come in your heart today.

3. Bring the person to a decision
Will you give your life to Jesus today?
May I lead you in a prayer of accepting Jesus as personal Lord and Saviour?
Pray this prayer with me: Repeat after me:
 Dear God, I ask you to forgive me for all my sins. I invite Jesus Christ to come into my heart and be my personal Lord and Saviour. Save me Lord. Today, I give my life to you. Your Word says whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. I call upon you Jesus, save me this day. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen
