Day 12

Forty Days of Preparation Daily Devotions

Day Twelve
Trusting in the Lord
Ps 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Our entire relationship with God is based on faith. Faith says that we trust. We must trust God to do exactly what he said he would. "Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
( Heb 10:35-36) Let your faith rest on the following and other promises as you trust God on your Christian journey.

A. God Will Never Leave Nor Forsake.

Heb 13:5-6 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
He is a Present Help in the time of Trouble
Ps 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

B. My God Shall Supply All Your Need.

Phil 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

C. The Lord is Your Protection.

Isa 54:14-15 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. 15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
1. No Weapon Formed Against You Shall Prosper
Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
2. God Will Not Allow You to Be Tempted Beyond Your Ability
1 Cor 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

D. He is Able to Keep You From Falling.

Jude 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of          his glory with exceeding joy,
John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

E. God Will Cause All Things to Work Together For Your Good.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

F. God Can Not Lie.

Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Heb 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
