Day Forty

Living in Victory

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.KJV

Jesus gave his life so we could live a life of victory. I pray that during this forty day journey, some pattern of victorious Christian living has been established in your life. Don't go back and pick up the old habits and ways of living that brought defeat in the past. Purpose that through Christ you will life in victory over sin, fear, anger, poverty, ¦ The list could go on. However, you know the areas that have challenged you in the past. Thank God for victory. Shout the victory!

A. The believer is more than a conqueror.

Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

B. Jesus came so that you could have an abundant life.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

C. Confess, "no weapon formed against me shall prosper.

Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Isa 54:15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

D. Obedience to God Brings Victorious Living.

Isa 58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Isa 1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

Deut 28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

E. Keep enjoying the journey.

Sample Prayer: Lord, I ask you for victory in every area of my life. I ask you for victory over __________________. Father, I thank you for complete and total victory. In Jesus Name, Amen
