Day Twenty-Five

Living Above the Circumstances
 Deut 28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
 The word of God says, "you shall be above only and not beneath. In other words, you can live above the circumstances. You don't have to just accept life the way it comes unto you. Circumstances indicated to the disciples that their boat would sink. Jesus operating above the circumstances calmed the raging sea by saying "peace be still. Circumstances said that Pharaoh would overtake the children of Israel as they would be trapped by the Red Sea. However, God opened the Red Sea and allowed them to cross on dry ground. That's life above the circumstances. (What are the circumstances of your life.) You can live above the circumstances. Here are some keys to living above the circumstances:

A. Live the Spirit Filled Life.
Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Eph 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

 B. Unhook from the Past.
 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

C. Remember God's Power is at Work in You.
Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

 D. Confess Abundant Life.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
2 Cor 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

 E. Be Fully Persuaded that What God Has Promised He is Able to Perform.
Rom 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

F. Obey the Voice of the Lord.
Luke 5:4-7 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
Matt 14:29-31 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

G. Keep Walking by Faith.

2 Cor 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Sample Prayer: Father, I trust you for abundant life. I expect good things to happen in my life. In Jesus Name, Amen.
