Connecting With Your Pastor
Jer 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
God is the one that set pastors in the church. He set them there to feed you with knowledge and understanding. Jesus is Lord and is the Good Shepherd. Pastors are "under shepherds" that must be accountable to the Great Shepherd. Jesus is the Lord of your life. Pastors speak God's Word into your life. Make the member-pastor connection to take full advantage of the pastoral gift by:
1. Keeping Your Relationship Spiritual
2 Cor 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
2. Trusting the Lord to Magnify Your Pastor in Your Sight
Josh 4:14 On that day the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.
3. Praying for Your Pastor
1 Sam 12:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:
