Connecting With Your Pastor Pt. 2

Jer 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

The relationship between you and your pastor is critical to your walk with the Lord. The Lord is the one that saves you. Pastors teach you how to live the saved life while being a godly example. God's Word transforms lives and pastors are charged to preach the Word of God. Connect with your pastor.

1. Pastors are to Be A Godly Example at All Times

1 Peter 5:1-3 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

2. Pastors are Charged to Preach the Word

2 Tim 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Prayer Focus: Father, strengthen my relationship with you and my relationship with my pastor.

Verse of the Day: 1 Cor 4:15-16 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.

Living the Word Today: Make the connection spiritually through prayer.
