Taking Your City for God
Joshua 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
Today, as in biblical days, we find our cities in a state of ruin with spiritual and moral decay. Joshua waged spiritual battle on the city. Nehemiah rebuilt the infrastructure of the city as Ezra the priest brought spiritual revival. Jeremiah wept and lamented over the city. Both men took their city for God. What about our cities? We are the light of the world, the salt of the earth. We have been charged to occupy until He comes. Don't give up on your city. Take you city back for God.
