Reasons You Need a Pastor
Ephesians 4:10-13 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
God is the one who assigned the pastoral ministry in the local church. This assignment was not for the benefit of the assigned minister but rather for the benefit of the congregation. The Word of God compares us with sheep. Sheep need the watchful eye of a caring shepherd. Christians need a loving and caring pastor.

Prayer Focus: Father I thank you for giving me a pastor after your own heart. I receive the pastoral gift you have given me.

Verse of the Day: Jer 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

Living the Word Today: Think about the role of your pastor in your life. Purpose to receive the full benefits of the pastoral ministry.
