Help in the Midst of the Storm
Matt 14:25-31 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.   And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
When the storms of life come, remember, Jesus has promised to never leave you nor forsake you. He is your peace in the midst of the storm; your joy in times of sorrow, your hope in despair and your strength in weakness. You are not alone.
Call upon the name of the Lord and you shall be saved. You don't wait until you are drowning before you call for help. Like Peter, cry out: "Lord save me". The Lord is a present help in the time of trouble. 'O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to the Lord in prayer".
Prayer Focus: Lord save me from this present distress.
Verse of the Day: Ps 46:1-3   God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
Living the Word Today: Call upon the Lord. Go and pray and He will answer you. Seek the Lord and you will find Him.
