A Word in Season Day 6

Having a Warrior Mentality
2 Tim 2:3-5 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
Christians must face the reality of spiritual warfare. We have an "adversary the devil that goes around seeking whom he may devour." He knows he is on his way to hell and wants to take as many as possible with him. (Rev 12:12)
A short definition of spiritual warfare - The attack of the devil and his angels (demons) upon believers to prevent them from living a victorious, fruitful Christian life. (Eph 6:12)
We are armed with mighty spiritual weapons. We can use them to pull down the strong holds of the devil. King Jehoshaphat used praise to confuse and defeat the enemy. Joshua marched in faith and shouted with the voice of triumph and the walls came down. David faced Goliath in faith with only a sling shot and defeated the giant. We are armed with faith, the name of Jesus, prayer, and the power of words. ...The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. (2 Cor 10:4)
Prayer Focus: Father I ask and thank you for victory in every area of my life.
Verse of the Day: 1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
Living the Word Today: Face every battle in faith. Praise God for victory! Rejoice.
