Day 10

Forty Days of Preparation Daily Devotions

 Day Ten

Seek Ye First-Lord Reveal My Priorities
Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
The promise of overtaking blessings is predicated upon making the kingdom of God the top priority in our lives. The kingdom of God is His order or way of doing things. We should seek to be a part of the kingdom as well as help to build up the kingdom. Be a part of the kingdom by living a saved life that is dedicated to the service of the Lord. Build the kingdom by evangelizing. Ask yourself, "Is God's kingdom the priority of my life? Ask God to reveal your true priorities. The following questions will help you evaluate the priorities of your life.

A. What am I Investing My Money In?

Matt 6:20-21 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Prov 3:9-10 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
B. What am I Doing With My Time?
We spend time on what we deem important in our lives.

C. Our Dominate Thoughts Reveal Our Priorites.

Prov 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Prov 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
D. Pursuits

  1. The Evidence of Desire is Pursuit.

  1. "Seek ye first the kingdom.

Sample Prayer: Lord, help me to clearly see the priorities of my life. My will is to put you and your kingdom first. Help me be a blessing to your kingdom. In Jesus Name. Amen.
