Day 2

Forty Days of Preparation Daily Devotions

Day Two

Thank You Lord for Saving Me!

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Salvation is a free gift from God. While salvation is free to us, Jesus paid with his life. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ( Rom 5:8) We must always be mindful and thankful of the great price paid for our salvation. Our gratitude should be expressed in words and deeds. Here are four ways to express your thanks for salvation:

A. Say it.

Thank You Lord for Saving Me!

B. Do a Kind Deed in the Name of the Lord.

Gal 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

C. Give

Your Heart

Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Your Substance

Prov 3:9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Your Time

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Your Service

Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Sample Prayer: Lord, thank you for saving me. In Jesus Name. Amen
